Merry Christmas

There's mounting excitement in the house now, Lola and Kiki are nearly bouncing off the walls!! So just a quick note to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. Hope you have a lovely day tomorrow x x

What we've achieved today......

Well, considering how long my to-do list was at the start of the week, and how ill I'm still feeling, somehow we've managed to start ticking a few boxes!!!

So here's today's highlights:

• glittery snowflakes to hang on our season tree

ready to replace the chocolates that have been hanging there to count down to Yule

• baked orange slices and orange pomanders

lovely scented decorations for our house

• Chocolate Yule Log

no one really likes christmas cake, so a chocolate covered, chocolate swiss roll with marshmallow snow for us instead!!

• Peppermint Creams

yummy sweets to share (or maybe not!!)

• Mince Pies

2 dozen scrummy mince pies. Have a feeling they will all get eaten over the weekend
(grandparents visiting, Yule and friends round for drinks and nibbles!) so will more than likely be making more before christmas!

don't think that's too bad for a days work!!!

Illness

I feel like I've been sick forever :-( This pregnancy is really taking it out of my body. Had a niggly cold on and off for the last couple of months, then last week I came down with a nasty chest infection. DH had to take a couple of days of work to look after the girls, whilst I lay on the sofa hidden under a duvet!!

Thought it had cleared up after the weekend, but yesterday my chest started to feel really tight again, and I spent half the night up coughing. Really don't want to be poorly for Yule......

New Beginnings

I was going to wait until the new year, but the urge to start a new blog overtook me today!!! My last blog seems to have fallen by the side, I was sans computer for a couple of months over the summer and never quite got around to catching up. So I decided to start afresh and create a new blog to chronicle the goings on in my crazy but happy family!!! I promise to keep it up to date this time!!!
